The Dishwasher Sump and Motor Assembly moves water from the sump collection area up through the spray arms. This part is designed to be used with select Whirlpool® and Amana® dishwashers; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. You must also turn off the water supply underneath the sink before installation.
